Zend Framework preview
written 1463 days agoZend and their partners have release a ‘preview’ of the much anticipated Zend framework.
We haven’t had time to check it out ourselves, but it should be interesting to see how their database abstraction model works and how it compares to ActiveRecord. From what we’ve heard so far, they’re following a dynamic database wrapper methodology (similar to existing PHP frameworks out there) and won’t support PHP 4.
Right off the bat, these are 2 differences between POG and the Zend framework (and the fact that POG is not a framework).
Personally, we’re very happy about the release of the zend framework since we believe it will ‘counter-balance’ the recent buzz related to web application development in Ruby.

This is a weblog about the Php Object Generator (POG) project, OO PHP, databases and Php code generators in general.
Php Object Generator, (POG) is an open source PHP code generator which automatically generates clean & tested Object Oriented code for your PHP4/PHP5 application.
